Course description
Lean Basics is an introductory course to the basic principles and concepts of Lean thinking and philosophy, which focuses on maximizing value while minimizing waste in manufacturing processes. The main goal of Lean is to create more value for customers with fewer resources, which is achieved by eliminating non-value-added activities and rationalizing processes. Key Lean principles include identifying and eliminating waste, improving process flow, creating a culture of continuous improvement, and empowering employees to make improvements. By applying these principles, organizations can increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.

What is Lean
Lean is a philosophy and methodology for maximizing value and minimizing waste in production processes. It was originally developed by Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan in the 1950s and has since been adopted by many organizations around the world in various industries. The goal of Lean is to create more value for customers with fewer resources, which is achieved by eliminating non-value-added activities and streamlining processes.
